Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Courses

For the purpose of spreading the research and applications done on GIS systems
in TRNC, a certified Geographical Information System Course have been given in
TechnoPark’s GIS Laboratory. 21 people consisting of academics, local
government, private sector specialists and students attended the 24 hour course,
from the 2nd to 4th of January, given by Turkey’s internationally experienced
GIS Company, NETCAD Limited. During the course, Computer Aided Design, creation
of digitalized maps, the collection of location-based data and its layer by
layer processing on digitalized maps and modeling topics were covered, and
applied on NETCAD GIS software.
